RESEARCH HACKS FOR COUNSELORS
|"Research" was listed as one of the functions performed by guidance counselors in the IRR of the Guidance and Counseling Act of 2004. However, despite the relevance of such function to the field, many counselors still consider research as their waterloo. Hence, this basic seminar-workshop aims to provide counselors with additional skills that are intended to ease their research journeys. Research hacks on the most common research writing concerns will be shared to the participants, which includes problem conceptualization, searching for literatures, research design, sampling computation and referencing. Some pertinent trends and issues in both quantitative and qualitative research will also be discussed, as well as the utilization of on-line research tools and resources. Finally, structured activities will also be provided to the participants to facilitate learning.|
